Janngo to raise €60M for new venture capital/impact fund

Janngo launched a new venture capital and impact vehicle, Janngo Capital Startup Fund.

The European Investment Bank provided a €15 million anchor investment to the fund, which aims to raise €60 million to invest in technology-enabled startups.

The venture capital and impact investment vehicle will also target at least 50% of early stage companies founded or cofounded by or benefiting women.

Janngo said the investment strategy is in line with the achievement of U.N. Sustainable Development Goals in Africa as a member of the Goalkeepers Community and the Global Future Council on the New Economic Agenda of the World Economic Forum.
