Bricks and mortar: BNB Bank closes 6 branches in New York

Mid-Atlantic

Paoli, Pa.-based Malvern Bank NA, a unit of Malvern Bancorp Inc., intends to close its branch at 109 N. Pottstown Pike in Exton, Pa., according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's website.

Williamsport, Pa.-based Jersey Shore State Bank opened a branch at 491 Sycamore Road in Snow Shoe, Pa., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities' summary of activities.

The bank is a subsidiary of Penns Woods Bancorp Inc.

Pennsylvania-based Washington Financial Bank opened a branch at 173 Millers Run Road in Bridgeville, Pa., according to the state banking regulator's summary of activities.

The bank is a unit of WFSB Inc. WFSB Mutual Holding Co. is the bank's ultimate parent.

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York approved American Express Co.'s application for American Express National Bank to open a branch in George Town in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, according to a Federal Reserve release.

Salt Lake City-based American Express Centurion Bank already obtained the OCC's approval to convert to a national bank from a state bank, and change its name to American Express National Bank.

White Plains, N.Y.-based NorthEast Community Bank (MHC) seeks to open a branch at 52 Bakertown Road, Suite 205 & 206 in Monroe, N.Y., according to the New York State Department of Financial Services' weekly banking bulletin.

The bank is a subsidiary of NorthEast Community Bancorp Inc. (MHC). NorthEast Community Bancorp MHC is the bank's ultimate parent.

Bridgehampton, N.Y.-based BNB Bank closed six branches in New York as of Feb. 16, according to the state banking regulator's weekly banking bulletin.

Said branches are located at 1218 Broadway in Hewlett, at 750 Hicksville Road in Massapequa, at 799 Hillside Ave. in New Hyde Park, at 15 Frowein Road in Center Moriches, at 32845 Main Road in Cutchogue, and at 859 Walt Whitman Road in Melville.

Bridge Bancorp Inc. is the bank's parent company.

The New York banking regulator authorized Oswego, N.Y.-based Pathfinder Bank to open a branch at 3775 State Route 31 in Liverpool, N.Y.

The bank is a subsidiary of Pathfinder Bancorp Inc.

New York-based Mizuho Bank (USA), a unit of Mizuho Americas LLC, seeks to establish a representative office at 5345 Towne Square Drive, Suite 285 in Plano, Texas, according to the New York banking regulator's weekly banking bulletin.

The New York banking regulator authorized Doraville, Ga.-based First IC Bank to open a branch at 147-50 Northern Blvd., Flushing in Queens, N.Y.

First IC Corp. is the bank's parent company.

Ohio-based First Citizens National Bank of Upper Sandusky opened a branch at 121-123 E. Lawn Drive in Marion, Ohio, according to the OCC's website.

Chanute, Kan.-based Community National Bank & Trust, a unit of Community Bancorp Inc., obtained the OCC's approval to open a branch at 901 E. Prospect Ave. in Ponca City, Okla.

Southeast

Kenbridge, Va.-based Benchmark Community Bank filed an application with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for a branch at 316 W. Atlantic St. in Emporia, Va.

The bank is a subsidiary of Benchmark Bankshares Inc.

Richlands, Va.-based First Sentinel Bank, a unit of First Region Bancshares Inc., is seeking the Richmond Fed's approval to open a branch at 427 Main St. in Bland, Va.

Christiansburg, Va.-based VCC Bank is seeking the Richmond Fed's approval to open a branch at 110 Peppers Ferry Road NW in Christiansburg.

The bank is majority-owned by Virginia Community Capital Inc.

Forest, Va.-based Select Bank, a unit of Select Bank Financial Corp., plans to open a full-service branch inside the Boonsboro Shopping Center at 4925 Boonsboro Road in Lynchburg, Va., in the second quarter.

BB&T Corp. is currently operating a branch in the location until May, according to a press release.

Fort Myers, Fla.-based FineMark National Bank & Trust, a unit of FineMark Holdings Inc., filed an application with the OCC for a branch at 10200 Cypress Cove Drive in Fort Myers, Fla.

Dade City, Fla.-based First National Bank of Pasco, a unit of Florida Bancshares Inc., opened a branch at 23613 SR 54 in Lutz, Fla., according to the OCC's website.

Southwest

The Texas Department of Banking approved Houston-based Lone Star Bank's application for a branch at 310 Main St. in Sealy, Texas.

Boerne-based Texas Heritage Bank, a unit of Southwestern Bancorp Inc., seeks to open a mobile branch at 1000 Grand Blvd. in Boerne to service a retirement village, according to the Texas banking regulator's website.

Burkburnett, Texas-based First Bank, a subsidiary of First Burkburnett Bancshares Inc., seeks to obtain the state banking regulator's approval to open a branch at 4400 Main St. in Frisco, Texas.

Killeen, Texas-based First National Bank Texas is seeking the OCC's approval to open a branch at 945 W. Lamar Blvd. in Arlington, Texas.

The bank is a subsidiary of FCBI Delaware Inc. The bank's ultimate parent is First Community Bancshares Inc.

Lawton, Okla.-based FSNB NA, a unit of JRMB II Inc., seeks to open a branch at 10300 Industrial Blvd. in Covington, Ga., according to the OCC's website.

West

Los Angeles-based City National Bank, a unit of Royal Bank of Canada, opened its first full-service regional banking center at 2001 M St. NW in Washington, D.C., according to a press release.

Hillsboro, Ore.-based Premier Community Bank, a subsidiary of Premier Commercial Bancorp, opened a full-service office at 1201 NE Lloyd Blvd., Suite 290 in the Lloyd District of Portland, Ore., according to a press release.
