Oklo Resources Ltd. said May 28 that it began an approximately 15,000-meter auger geochemical drilling program at the Kouroufing gold project in western Mali.
Samples from up to 3 meters of bedrock material below areas of extensive lateritic profile, soils and cover material will be collected in the program. It is anticipated that the program will take approximately 50 days and the company plans to complete it before the start of the wet season in July.
The miner said it was acquiring the project via an option signed in November 2017.
