EDP - Energias de Portugal SA, through its EDP Renewables North America LLC subsidiary, and private developer ConnectGen LLC completed the acquisition of three U.S. solar projects from First Solar Inc.

With a combined capacity of 278 MW, the solar projects are the 154-MW Sun Streams 1 project in Maricopa County, Ariz., the 20-MW Windhub A project in Kern County, Calif., and the 103-MW Sunshine Valley project in Nye County, Nev.

The solar projects were developed by First Solar and are expected to reach substantial completion by the end of 2019. Once commissioned, the facilities will be operated by First Solar Energy Services.
