The Mexico Equity & Income Fund to repurchase 65% of its common shares

Mexico Equity & Income Fund Inc. said it will purchase, through a tender offer, up to 65% of its common shares at 98% of the net asset value per common share.

The tender offer will expire at 5:00 p.m. ET on Jan. 31, 2020, unless the offer is extended.

"The fund's board of directors will review the results of the offer to determine whether to consider strategic alternatives, including initiating a rights offering," the company said in a filing.
