VT Holdings fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

VT Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥6.10 per share, a decline of 42.9% from ¥10.68 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥718.1 million, a decline of 40.5% from ¥1.21 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 2.3% from 4.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue came to ¥30.69 billion, compared with ¥30.47 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses increased year over year to ¥29.61 billion from ¥28.52 billion.

Reported net income declined 46.6% from the prior-year period to ¥557.0 million, or ¥4.73 per share, from ¥1.04 billion, or ¥9.24 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
