Czech Republic-based VIG RE zajištovna, a.s. said Dušan Bogdanovic will step down from its board to head its new foreign operations unit, effective April 1.
Bogdanovic will spearhead the establishment of a new service firm in Belgrade, Serbia, which will see him covering administrative and analytical support of new underwriting entities. VIG Re already operates in the Serbian insurance market through its wholly owned Wiener Re a.d.o. unit.
Also effective April 1, Patrick Chevrel, currently head for western Europe, will oversee the firm's operations in Italy, in addition to France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Olaf Dietrich, currently nonlife underwriting head, will also take over the company's accident and health business, in addition to his responsibility for the property and casualty business.
Austria-based Wiener Stadtische Wechselseitige Versicherungsanstalt-Vermögensverwaltung is the ultimate parent of VIG Re.
