Japanese electronics manufacturer Panasonic Corp. announced Jan. 31 that it will establish Panasonic Eco Solutions Solar New York America on Feb. 1 in Buffalo, N.Y.

The solar company will manufacture and sell solar cells for the North American market to promote the adoption of renewable energy, Panasonic said. It will be a division of Panasonic Corp. of North America Inc and is expected to start production in summer.
