Liontown estimates maiden resource at Kathleen Valley lithium-tantalum project

Liontown Resources Ltd. reported a maiden resource estimate for the Kathleen's Corner and Mount Mann deposits at its wholly owned Kathleen Valley lithium-tantalum project in Western Australia.

The deposits host measured, indicated and inferred resources of 21.2 million tonnes at 1.4% lithium oxide and 170 parts per million tantalum pentoxide, at a 0.5% lithium oxide cut-off.

According to the Sept. 4 release, 75% of the mineral resource is classified as measured or indicated and is open along strike and at depth.

The company noted that ongoing metallurgical test work on diamond core samples will pave the way for a scoping study as well as discussions with offtake and other strategic partners.
