Bioalpha Holdings Q1 profit climbs YOY

Bioalpha Holdings Berhad said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 132,250 ringgits, a rise from 51,750 ringgits in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.9% from 1.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to 6.9 million ringgits from 3.2 million ringgits, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to 6.8 million ringgits from 3.1 million ringgits.

Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to 122,000 ringgits, or 0 sen per share, from 14,000 ringgits, or 0 sen per share.

As of May 27, US$1 was equivalent to 4.08 ringgits.
