Anjani Synthetics fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Anjani Synthetics Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 34 Indian paise per share, an increase of 6.6% from 32 paise per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 3.6 million rupees, an increase from 3.5 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 0.4% from 0.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled 835.5 million rupees, compared with 835.2 million rupees in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled 804.9 million rupees, compared with 810.4 million rupees in the prior-year period.

Reported net income grew 33.4% on an annual basis to 3.7 million rupees, or 34 paise per share, from 2.7 million rupees, or 25 paise per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 62.20 Indian rupees.
