Consumer products company Procter & Gamble Co. said Feb. 16 that it appointed activist investor Nelson Peltz as a member of two board committees, effective March 1.
Peltz, who was appointed by Procter & Gamble as a board member after a monthslong proxy fight between P&G and Peltz's hedge fund Trian Fund Management, will sit on the company's governance and public responsibility and innovation and technology committees.
P&G's board also designated former Novartis AG CEO Joseph Jimenez to its compensation and leadership development and innovation and technology committees.
