Nutri Dar Co. swings to profit in Q1

Nutri Dar Co. said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 1 Jordanian fils per share, compared with a loss of 1 fils per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 90,990 dinars, compared with a loss of 97,340 dinars in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 3.2% from negative 3.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased year over year to 2.8 million dinars from 2.9 million dinars, and total operating expenses decreased 13.4% year over year to 2.6 million dinars from 3.0 million dinars.

Reported net income came to 145,590 dinars, or 2 fils per share, compared to a loss of 155,740 dinars, or a loss of 2 fils per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of April 29, US$1 was equivalent to 71 Jordanian fils.
