FHLB Chicago elects chairman, vice chairman

Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago's board on Dec. 14 elected Michael Steelman chairman and John Reinke vice chairman for 2018-2019.

Currently, Steelman is vice chairman and Reinke is a director at FHLB Chicago.

Steelman has served as CEO of Bushnell, Ill.-based Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Bushnell since 1996, and was appointed chairman in 2001. In addition, he has served as president and chairman of the holding company, Prairieland Bancorp Inc., since 2001, according to SNL records.

Reinke serves as chair of Marinette, Wis.-based Stephenson National Bank and Trust subsequent to his retirement from the president and CEO post in 2013.
