Former Salisbury Bancorp chairman dies

Michael Varet, a director of Lakeville, Conn.-based Salisbury Bancorp Inc. and subsidiary Salisbury Bank and Trust Co., died May 20.

He was 77.

Varet served as chairman from 2010 until earlier in May. David Farrell succeeded him as chairman of the company and the bank.
