Del Frisco's Restaurant Group Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended June 14 was 17 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 18 cents per share.
EPS increased 18.2% year over year from 14 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $3.9 million, a gain of 17.0% from $3.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 4.9% from 4.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 8.3% on an annual basis to $79.9 million from $73.8 million, and total operating expenses climbed 7.7% on an annual basis to $73.6 million from $68.3 million.
Reported net income increased 17.6% year over year to $4.5 million, or 19 cents per share, from $3.8 million, or 16 cents per share.
