Optum and retirement plan provider Empower Retirement unveiled The Empower Health Savings Account, a health savings account for retirement plan participants. Optum is part of UnitedHealth Group Inc.

Empire BlueCross BlueShield and physician association IPA of Nassau/Suffolk Counties expanded their work under Empire's value-based payment program in New York. The physician association also announced an agreement to receive physician enablement capabilities from a separate company providing services on behalf of Empire. Empire BlueCross BlueShield is the trade name of Empire HealthChoice Assurance Inc., and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO is the trade name of Empire HealthChoice HMO Inc.
