Global sales of Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. rose approximately 30% in August to 125,522 units from the prior-year period, according to a Sept. 6 release.
The figure includes sales of its Lynk & Co. brand and vehicles sold by the group's 50%-owned joint venture.
Geely said that during the month, total sales in China grew around 30% year-over-year to 122,974 units. The group's exports were also up approximately 24% year-over-year to 2,548 units.
In the eight months to August, Geely's global sales increased 41% to 1,012,429 units from the comparable period a year ago. This represents 64% of the company's 2018 full-year sales target of 1,580,000 units, according to the release.
