Malaysian streaming service dimsum ramps up Asian content

Malaysian subscription video-on-demand platform dimsum licensed content from four distributors in Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan, World Screen reported Nov. 30.

Dimsum bagged rights to several drama series from Thailand's GMM Grammy PCL, such as "Club Friday To Be Continued: Rak Long Jai," "Home… Stay," "Slam Dance" and "My Lil Boy 2."

The SVOD platform also signed a deal with Hong Kong-based channel Ani-One, to offer its customers several anime series, including "Infini-T Force" and "ALL OUT !!"

Other deals include include the addition of Celestial Tiger Entertainment's Miao Mi, a Mandarin-language preschool edutainment channel, and Asia Travel, a Taiwanese travel channel, to dimsum's platform.

Star Media Group Bhd.'s SMG Entertainment, formerly known as Star Online Sdn. Bhd., operates dimsum.
