Kamdar Group Q3 loss widens 34.4% YOY

Kamdar Group (M) Bhd. said its normalized net income for the third quarter was a loss of 1.5 million ringgits, compared with a loss of 1.1 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin declined to negative 4.2% from negative 2.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 10.6% year over year to 34.7 million ringgits from 38.8 million ringgits, and total operating expenses fell 8.3% year over year to 36.5 million ringgits from 39.8 million ringgits.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 2.8 million ringgits, or a loss of 1 sen per share, compared to a loss of 2.6 million ringgits, or a loss of 1 sen per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Nov. 25, US$1 was equivalent to 4.44 ringgits.
