Freesia Macross Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 15 Japanese sen per share, a gain of 90.7% from 8 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥68.9 million, a gain of 90.7% from ¥36.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 2.7% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 33.4% on an annual basis to ¥2.55 billion from ¥3.82 billion, and total operating expenses fell 32.7% on an annual basis to ¥2.23 billion from ¥3.32 billion.
Reported net income fell 47.1% year over year to ¥37.0 million, or 8 sen per share, from ¥70.0 million, or 16 sen per share.
