Castellum to invest 1B kronor to develop E.ON Energy's Nordic HQ in Sweden

Swedish real estate manager and operator Castellum AB is planning to kick off the construction of an office building in the Nyhamnen district of Malmö, Sweden, with a total investment of about 1.1 billion Swedish kronor.

The proposed scheme will serve as the new headquarters of energy supplier E.ON Energy Group in the Nordic region. The two parties have struck a deal following a tender process that will see E.ON leasing the property for 12 years, commencing upon the completion of the project in 2021.

The building will be designed to house about 1,500 employees at its 24,500 square meters of leasable area. The construction period is estimated to last for 24 months.

The company intends to fund the construction using its own finances and unused credits, according to a release.

As of March 7, US$1 was equivalent to 8.25 Swedish kronor.
