Italian producer prices in April up 0.1% monthly, 3.7% annually

Prices for goods manufactured in Italy increased by 0.1% in April from March and 3.7% year over year, data from the National Institute of Statistics showed May 30.

The producer price index rose 3.1% year over year in March, the same rate as in the previous month.

The monthly increase to the index comprised a 0.1% increase on the domestic market and 0.2% on the nondomestic market. The average of the three months to April, compared with the average of the three months to January, increased by 1.1%.
