Embotelladora Andina SA said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 32.41 Chilean pesos per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 26.38 pesos per share.
EPS increased 42.9% year over year from 22.68 pesos.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 30.68 billion pesos, an increase of 42.9% from 21.47 billion pesos in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 6.2% from 4.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 12.4% on an annual basis to 503.72 billion pesos from 448.31 billion pesos, and total operating expenses grew 10.5% on an annual basis to 440.30 billion pesos from 398.44 billion pesos.
Reported net income increased 48.2% year over year to 36.06 billion pesos, or 38.10 pesos per share, from 24.33 billion pesos, or 25.71 pesos per share.
As of April 28, US$1 was equivalent to 605.60 Chilean pesos.
