Home Product Center Q4 profit climbs 14.1% YOY

Home Product Center Public Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to 7 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 7 satang per share.

EPS rose 14.1% year over year from 6 satang.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 904.4 million baht, a gain of 14.1% from 792.7 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 5.9% from 5.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 9.3% on an annual basis to 15.27 billion baht from 13.98 billion baht, and total operating expenses climbed 9.1% on an annual basis to 13.70 billion baht from 12.56 billion baht.

Reported net income increased 11.0% from the prior-year period to 1.14 billion baht, or 9 satang per share, from 1.03 billion baht, or 8 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 21 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 27 satang.

EPS rose 6.4% from 20 satang in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 2.76 billion baht, an increase of 6.4% from 2.59 billion baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 9.8% from the prior-year period to 56.24 billion baht from 51.21 billion baht, and total operating expenses increased 10.2% year over year to 51.26 billion baht from 46.53 billion baht.

The company said reported net income rose 5.6% year over year to 3.50 billion baht, or 27 satang per share, in the full year, from 3.31 billion baht, or 25 satang per share.

As of Feb. 23, US$1 was equivalent to 35.75 baht.
