Electricite de France grosses $1.15 billion from debt offering

Electricité de France SA raised gross proceeds of $1.15 billion from an offering of 4.95% senior unsecured bonds due Oct. 13, 2045.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA, Barclays PLC, Commerzbank AG, Credit Suisse Group AG, Lloyds Banking Group PLC, Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA, Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc., MUFG Securities EMEA PLC, Nomura Holdings Inc., RBC Capital Markets LLC, Societe Generale SA, Standard Chartered PLC, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. were the lead underwriters.
