Continental Gold awards key work contracts for Buritica property

Continental Gold Inc. said April 3 that it granted Merit Consultants International Inc. the construction management contract for its Buritica gold-silver project in Colombia, while M3 Engineering & Technology Corp. secured the engineering and procurement contract.

The project site continues to be prepared for mine construction, with the first phase of the six-kilometer road nearing completion and engineering on schedule.

Mine construction is expected to commence as planned toward the end of 2017.

Earlier in the year, Continental Gold secured a 7.25-year project debt facility of US$250 million to develop Buritica.
