Comverge Inc. on April 4 announced a five-year contract with PNM Resources Inc. to install and manage 60 MW of demand response capacity.
The plan is designed for small commercial and residential customers. The IntelliSOURCE-Customer app provides customers with a remote thermostat management tool, which Comverge said will help customers manage their energy use efficiently and save on energy bills. The Comverge IntelliSOURCE Enterprise software will allow PNM to communicate with all the devices.
Additionally, the contract is pay-for-performance, which means Comverge will have to deliver results to get paid.
Pending regulatory approval, the program will start in 2018.
