Sumitomo Realty logs 15.7% YOY jump in fiscal FY'17 attributable profit

Sumitomo Realty & Development Co. Ltd. said its profit attributable to owners of the parent for the 12 months ended March 31 came to ¥119.73 billion, a rise of 15.7% from roughly ¥103.49 billion in the prior-year period.

EPS climbed 15.7% year over year to ¥252.62 from the ¥218.34 recorded in the previous 12-month term.

Ordinary profit came to ¥186.87 billion compared with about ¥167.70 billion in the year-earlier period.

For the fiscal year 2017, the company's total assets reached nearly ¥5.187 trillion, higher compared to the ¥4.980 trillion amount in the year-ago term.

The real estate company declared a dividend of ¥14 per share at year-end, up from the ¥13-per-share interim dividend, leading to a total dividend of ¥27 per share for the year.

For the following reporting fiscal year ending March 31, 2019, the company projects attributable profit of ¥130.00 billion, ordinary profit of ¥195.00 billion, operating income of ¥213.00 billion and revenue from operations of ¥970.00 billion.
