Entergy New Orleans pilots rooftop solar program for low-income customers

Entergy New Orleans LLC is testing a new rooftop solar program that would give a $30 monthly bill credit to its low-income residential customers.

Under the program, the Entergy Corp. subsidiary will install, own and maintain the rooftop solar panels for low-income customers without a "complicated" lease or upfront cash, according to a Feb. 28 news release.

Entergy New Orleans said it will also remove the system with a 90-day notice at any point.

Interested customers may email queries to residentialsolar@entergy.com.
