Los Angeles-based Shamrock Capital Advisors LLC led a $30 million funding round for Pixellot Ltd., an automated artificial intelligence-based sports production technology company.
Pixellot's existing shareholders, Firstime Ventures and TheTime, participated in the round.
Transaction terms were not available, but Shamrock said in a Sept. 10 announcement that following this round of investment, Pixellot has raised more than $40 million over the past five years.
Founded in 2013, Pixellot offers automated sports production solutions. These provide affordable alternatives to traditional video capture, production and distribution systems for professional and semi-professional sport events. The company has sold more than 2,500 systems worldwide and produces 20,000 hours of sports content every month.
Cooley LLP was the legal adviser to Shamrock for the investment round.
