Cleanup Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was a loss of ¥10.93 per share, compared with ¥20.08 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥454.4 million, compared with income of ¥935.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 1.7% from 2.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 21.0% on an annual basis to ¥27.02 billion from ¥34.19 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 15.2% on an annual basis to ¥27.63 billion from ¥32.58 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥521.0 million, or a loss of ¥12.53 per share, compared to income of ¥661.0 million, or ¥14.19 per share, in the prior-year period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥39.82 per share, a decrease of 65.0% from ¥113.62 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥1.69 billion, a fall of 68.1% from ¥5.29 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue fell 9.7% on an annual basis to ¥116.24 billion from ¥128.78 billion, and total operating expenses fell 5.6% on an annual basis to ¥113.21 billion from ¥119.91 billion.
The company said reported net income decreased 82.2% year over year to ¥883.0 million, or ¥20.81 per share, in the full year, from ¥4.97 billion, or ¥106.67 per share.
