Uracan Resources Ltd. changed its name to Vanadian Energy Corp., effective Oct. 5.

The company will trade on the TSX Venture Exchange using the symbol VEC, according to an Oct. 4 release.

Canada-based Uracan is focused on exploring vanadium deposits in Manitoba and uranium deposits in Saskatchewan. The company holds an option to acquire the Huzyk Creek vanadium property in Manitoba.
