8minutenergy completes 26-MW Calif. solar farm

8minutenergy Renewables on March 7 announced the completion of the 26-MW Redwood 4 Solar Project in Kern County, Calif.

The project is the final installation in the 100-MW Redwood solar cluster. The other three facilities have been operational since 2015. The facilities were developed by 8minutenergy and are now owned by FTP Power LLC, doing business as sPower.

The Redwood solar cluster is expected to produce more than 200 million kWh annually, enough to serve more than 30,390 homes.

Construction of Redwood 4 started in September 2017, and the project was commissioned in December of the same year. 8minutenergy will own the facility.
