Pakistan regulator orders probe into stock exchange data leak

Pakistan's securities regulator has ordered an investigation into the leakage of trading information of Pakistan Stock Exchange Ltd.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan said Nov. 21 that it has formed a team to identify and curb the sources of unlawful practices and take necessary corrective and punitive measures. The commission said it took the action after receiving complaints.

The commission added that it will engage experts and professionals to ensure fair and early disposal of the investigation. The commission, however, did not disclose further details about the data leakage.
