Dusit Thani Q4 profit climbs YOY

Dusit Thani Public Company Ltd said its fourth-quarter normalized net income came to 9 satang per share, an increase from 3 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 74.9 million baht, a gain from 22.5 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 5.0% from 1.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to 1.48 billion baht from 1.43 billion baht, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to 1.35 billion baht from 1.39 billion baht.

Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to 107.7 million baht, or 13 satang per share, from 33.1 million baht, or 4 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 15 satang per share, compared with a loss of 1 satang per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 122.9 million baht, compared with a loss of 8.5 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose on an annual basis to 5.29 billion baht from 5.08 billion baht, and total operating expenses totaled 5.03 billion baht, compared with 5.07 billion baht in the prior-year period.

The company said reported net income came to 199.2 million baht, or 24 satang per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of 20.6 million baht, or a loss of 2 satang per share, the prior year.

As of Feb. 29, US$1 was equivalent to 35.64 baht.
