GM Breweries fiscal Q3 profit climbs 32.4% YOY

G.M.Breweries Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 3.58 Indian rupees per share, an increase of 32.5% from 2.70 rupees per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 52.4 million rupees, an increase of 32.4% from 39.6 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 6.7% from 5.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to 787.4 million rupees from 768.5 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased year over year to 716.5 million rupees from 697.8 million rupees.

Reported net income grew 41.0% from the prior-year period to 60.5 million rupees, or 4.14 rupees per share, from 42.9 million rupees, or 2.93 rupees per share.

As of Jan. 8, US$1 was equivalent to 62.52 Indian rupees.
