Siemens Gamesa Renewable secures €2.5B credit facility

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy announced May 30 that it signed a €2.5 billion multicurrency term and revolving credit facility with a syndicate of international financial institutions.

Of the total, a €500 million term facility will mature in 2021, and €2.0 billion will mature in 2023, with two options for a one-year extension.

The Siemens AG subsidiary said in a news release that the funds will be used for general corporate purposes and refinanced outstanding short and long-term debts, including a €750 million credit facility from 2017.
