Medtronic unit exercises warrants to buy Mazor Robotics ADSs

Covidien Group S.a.r.l., a Luxembourg-based unit of Dublin's Medtronic PLC, exercised warrants to buy 1,210,000 American depositary shares of Mazor Robotics Ltd. for $44.23 each.

The ADSs represent 2,420,000 ordinary shares of Israel-based Mazor Robotics, a company developing medical devices for surgical procedures in the fields of orthopedics and neurosurgery.

Medtronic, which is acquiring Mazor Robotics for $1.64 billion, now owns 4.2 million ADSs of Mazor Robotics following a warrant exercise.
