ABC-Mart fiscal Q3 profit climbs 19.8% YOY

ABC-Mart Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, amounted to ¥65.84 per share, an increase of 19.8% from ¥54.96 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥5.43 billion, a gain of 19.8% from ¥4.53 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 10.9% from 10.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 13.5% year over year to ¥50.02 billion from ¥44.09 billion, and total operating expenses rose 11.8% from the prior-year period to ¥41.41 billion from ¥37.06 billion.

Reported net income rose 17.3% year over year to ¥5.15 billion, or ¥62.45 per share, from ¥4.39 billion, or ¥53.23 per share.
