Yomeishu Seizo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 amounted to ¥17.93 per share, a decline of 22.0% from ¥22.97 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥245.6 million, a decline of 28.8% from ¥345.0 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 8.3% from 11.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined 5.0% on an annual basis to ¥2.96 billion from ¥3.11 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥2.70 billion, compared with ¥2.69 billion in the prior-year period.
Reported net income decreased 27.2% from the prior-year period to ¥276.0 million, or ¥20.14 per share, from ¥379.0 million, or ¥25.23 per share.
As of July 31, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.82.
