Quality Care Properties Inc. further extended the deadline for its primary tenant HCR ManorCare Inc. to respond to the company's receivership complaint to Jan. 15, 2018, subject to court approval.
The extension will allow negotiations between the parties to continue, Quality Care Properties said in a release.
Quality Care Properties also said it received $19.0 million in rent from HCR ManorCare for November.
HCR ManorCare continues to be in default under the master lease agreement dated as of April 7, 2011.
Quality Care Properties had filed a complaint against HCR ManorCare in August, seeking the appointment of an independent receiver for its skilled nursing and assisted living/memory care facilities leased to the tenant.
