New York Life acquiring Cigna's group life, disability business in $6.3B deal

New York Life Insurance Co. has agreed to acquire Cigna Corp.'s group life and disability insurance business for $6.3 billion.

The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2020, subject to applicable regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
