Talanx purchases 50-MWp solar park in Spain from BayWa

German insurance group Talanx AG said Jan. 7 it has acquired a 50-MWp solar park in Spain from BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH for an undisclosed amount.

The subsidy-free solar farm near Seville, Spain, will be placed online this year and will supply power to about 30,000 homes.

In December 2019, Talanx acquired another subsidy-free solar facility in Spain, the 180-MW Bienvenida solar farm, which is expected to produce enough power for around 80,000 homes once it goes online in early 2021.
