Financial guaranty

Assured Guaranty Corp. named Steven Kahn senior managing director for structured finance.

He will lead the structured finance group with Managing Director Dan Bevill.

Kahn served as the managing director for the structured products group at Mizuho Securities USA LLC.

Assured Guaranty Corp. is a subsidiary of Assured Guaranty Ltd.

Property and casualty

Chaucer PLC named Chance Gilliland head of U.S. property insurance, Mel Smart head of international property facultative and Michael Johnston deputy class underwriter for international property binders.

Gilliland wrote U.S. property binder business in London and the U.S. at Chubb Ltd., while Smart served as a senior international property underwriter at Brit Global Specialty.


Ed Broking Group Ltd. appointed Mark Simons head of business development and production for Bermuda, effective in January 2020.

Simons served as a senior vice president for the financial and professional liability practice at Marsh LLC.


McGill & Partners Ltd. appointed Chris Stevenson to lead its complex property and casualty division, The Insurance Insider reported.

Stevenson served as the property head at Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group Ltd.


Karen Pallotta and Manolo Sánchez were appointed to the board of Stewart Information Services Corp.

Arnaud Ajdler and James Chadwick also retired from the company's board, effective Dec. 12.
