UK regulator approves Hasbro/Entertainment One deal

U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority approved Hasbro Inc.'s $3.8 billion acquisition of Entertainment One Ltd., which closed on Dec. 30, 2019.

The CMA began its probe into the deal in November 2019 to determine whether the transaction would lead to a "substantial lessening" of market competition for goods or services in Britain.

Hasbro earlier raised $2.38 billion via a debt offering and carried out a separate round of common stock offering to raise funds for the deal.
