Bouwfonds Investment Management has sold assets in its portfolio worth over €4 billion, as part of its Rabo Real Estate Group parent's plan to decrease its involvement in fund and asset management activities.
The portfolio has now shrunk to €2.1 billion from more than €6.3 billion in 2015, Bouwfonds CFO Marnix Boessenkool noted in a release.
The Dutch real asset investment management company sold the management of its residential and car park business units and its German communication infrastructure fund to parties supported by private equity firm CommonWealth Investment BV.
Earlier in November 2017, the company sold its tower assets to Netherlands-based electric company TenneT and 31 retail assets in the Netherlands to a CBRE Global Investors-led consortium of three Dutch institutional investors and the CBRE Dutch Retail Fund.
