Tokai Senko KK said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥47.64 per share, an increase of 18.4% from ¥40.25 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥162.3 million, a gain of 18.3% from ¥137.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 3.5% from 2.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined year over year to ¥4.69 billion from ¥4.80 billion, and total operating expenses declined year over year to ¥4.32 billion from ¥4.46 billion.
Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to ¥214.0 million, or ¥62.83 per share, from ¥211.0 million, or ¥61.93 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥136.40 per share, a gain of 29.7% from ¥105.15 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥464.6 million, a gain of 29.7% from ¥358.3 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue amounted to ¥16.35 billion, compared with ¥16.34 billion in the prior year, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥15.25 billion from ¥15.58 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 30.6% on an annual basis to ¥602.0 million, or ¥176.73 per share, in the full year, from ¥461.0 million, or ¥135.31 per share.
