Shrenuj & Co. fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Shrenuj & Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 75 Indian paise per share, a decline from 78 paise per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 143.5 million rupees, a decline from 149.4 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 0.8% from 1.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 46.2% year over year to 18.68 billion rupees from 12.77 billion rupees, and total operating expenses grew 48.8% from the prior-year period to 18.09 billion rupees from 12.15 billion rupees.

Reported net income declined year over year to 206.0 million rupees, or 1.07 rupees per share, from 209.0 million rupees, or 1.08 rupees per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 62.20 Indian rupees.
