Asahimatsu Foods Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to a loss of ¥10.85 per share, compared with a loss of ¥5.30 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥99.4 million, compared with a loss of ¥48.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to negative 4.5% from negative 2.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 6.6% year over year to ¥2.21 billion from ¥2.36 billion, and total operating expenses fell from the prior-year period to ¥2.37 billion from ¥2.44 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥373.0 million, or a loss of ¥40.74 per share, compared to a loss of ¥79.0 million, or a loss of ¥8.63 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
